While every homeowner has a different reason and different situation, the reality is that most of the homeowners we purchase houses from are not in desperate situations nor trying to escape foreclosure. Most folks just don’t want to deal with some of the hassles that come with listing their house with an agent like upfront repairs required to get the house ready to sell, having many people come through the house, paying commissions and closing costs, and the 4-6 months from start to finish until it closes or however long it takes. With us, our goal is to create a win-win situation. Of course, we are looking to purchase, remodel and resell to a home buyer for a profit… so we would need a discount for the numbers to work but when you actually look at the numbers closely most of our homeowners are ok with that because they get the convenience of not having to deal with the repairs and any surprises that might come with that, listing on the market and hoping their house sells.
